Kickin’ Tots classes offered at Family First Sports Park are designed for children ages 3-5 years old. The focus of these classes is to teach child development skills. At this age, learning specific soccer skills is not the focus. Soccer will be the theme used to develop other skills such as: listening, imaginative play, confidence, cooperation, following directions, balance and coordination. The classes will be full of activities and games to keep the children active and having fun. |

The classes will be divided into four different levels: Cubs, Koalas, Pandas and Polars. The Cubs class will require a parent to be on the field. In all other classes, the children will be on their own with the instructor. Each level will build upon skills learned in the previous level. Each class will be 45-60 minutes in length and meet Cubs (Parent/Child class 45min.) The Cubs class is recommended for first time participants at the youngest ages. This class will include basic dribbling, kicking, catching and throwing activities with the parent involved. Basic motor skills is the focus. Classes offered Tuesdays 5:30-6:15pm and Saturdays 10:00-10:45am. Koalas (Beginner 60min.) The Koalas class is recommended for children to participate for the first time on their own. Basic ability to listen and follow directions is a must. This class will use similar activities to the Cubs class, but without the help of Mom or Dad. Classes offered Tuesdays 5:30-6:30pm and Saturdays 10:00-11:00am. Pandas (Intermediate 60min.) The Pandas class is recommended for those who have a strong desire to do things on their own. Classes will focus more on coordination, balance, imaginative play and cooperation. More soccer-related activities will be taught at this level. Classes offered Tuesdays 5:30-6:30pm and Saturdays 10:00am-11:00am. Polars (Advanced 60min.) The Polars class is recommended for the older children who have completed the other classes or have some soccer experience. More time will be spent on dribbling, kicking, scoring and other soccer skills. These children will need to have a longer attention span and the willingness to cooperate with others. Classes offered Tuesdays 5:30-6:30pm and Saturdays 10:00am-11:00am. Kickin’ Tots Uniform Package The Kickin’ Tots program will now feature a uniform package with shirt, shorts, socks, soccer ball and sling pack. This package is $30.00) and only needs to be purchased one time. You no longer need to purchase a different t-shirt each session.
